Gods are gods. They can do what they want. Its not like humanity is exactly all-powerful like they are.

Aren't there bad gods in your religion, Flayn? Most religions I can think of has one, or at least, a very powerful being that stands in opposition to the rest of the panetheon. Loki, Lucifer, Saturn, Set...there's more than you think.

...no. There is just the Goddess, and she is benevolent and watches over all her children.

There were also Seiros and the Four Saints, but they... were not gods. They were children of the Goddess who sought to protect Fódlan from those who would have seen the land embroiled in war.

Who are the enemies of the Goddess and the Saints, then?

But in the past, they fought against Nemesis in the War of Heroes, which led to the founding of the Adrestian Empire.

A traitor to the Goddess. He was gifted with incredible power to protect the land of Fódlan, but corruption and greed led him to wage war across the land and risk the lives of the very people he was meant to protect.

That's your "bad god". All gods have an enemy. This Nemesis is similar to the gods, right? He had their power? And yet he tried to destroy the people under his care. That's what I'm talking about, with these beings like the island and the house.

But... he was a human, not a god. He was not that similar to them.

Mm. A person with a god complex believes they have the power to rule over others, use them as tools. Gods may have morals beyond human perception, but people just chase power, the feeling of knowing they can destroy whoever they want.

So, I'd personally rather deal with a god than some human being who thinks they can do whatever they want.

Anyways, god or no god, we could be playthings of someone else at the moment.

I bet we have to start planning how to overthrow them now rather than later.

Getting access to whoever it is would be helpful. We never did see the person that was talking to us on the island, did we?
