[she feels a little bad about how their interaction went during the trial, so once flayn's taken a little time to rest, anaido is among the first she seeks out. when she spots him, wherever that may be, she calls out to him.]
i don't know and flayn doesn't know, which means after the execution, it's time to play ... hide-and-seek! when she does happen to find him wherever he may be, she calls out to him in greeting.]
[Hours after the execution, Flayn is ... wandering.
She should probably be resting. But it's hard to keep still, right now. She feels jittery and useless. She has a man's blood on her hands, and for what...? She's still here, but the person Yasusada killed is not.
Her mind is a little quieter than it was, at the trial, but maybe that's because she's still numb from the execution.
She's more aware of her surroundings than she was before, though. When she spots Anaido, she nods to him in greeting.]
[Honestly, he was looking for her after the execution, but decided to keep his space, at least for a while. But even he's surprised to see her out and about, and he pauses, blinking.]
Ah...Flayn.
[He steps forward, his expression creased with obvious concern.]
[Honestly, Flayn is avoiding most people. She's upset, and it's probably fairly easy to guess why - but what can be done about it? What happened, happened.
And they have a trial to face tomorrow.
...still, she knows Anaido must be upset, too. And he isn't exactly mobile at the moment. It will be harder for him to seek out company if she wants it - so wherever he is, she goes to find him.]
[Well, here he is near the bonfire, in his wheelchair as expected. Except...he looks strange, as he's dressed in layers and layers of clothes, like its ten degrees outside. He turns his head, gives her a smile...but his eyes are very sad.]

anyway, flayn looks sort of worried now that she's looked around a bit.]
Anaido? May I ask a favor of you?

[He bends down to hear her better, giving her a concerned look.]
Yes? What is it?
no subject
...please do all you can not to get hurt this time.

Is there a reason you're telling me that, Flayn...?

Hello, Anaido! Have you been well this week?
1/2
[He offers her a warm smile and a wave.]
You know, this is great timing! I just wanted to talk to you about your profile.
2/2
Are you really good at fishing like it says?
no subject
No.
[...wait.]
I mean. Yes! Yes, I am.
no subject
Is it hard? Fishing, I mean.

Anaido..?

[He's just leaning against a tree, closing his eyes - and then opens one, glancing over at her. The circles under his eyes are more prominent.]
Flayn. [He smiles.] Are you doing okay?
no subject
[She looks a little uncomfortable, though - and the reason for that will soon become obvious.]
...I wanted to apologize. I mishandled the situation when we spoke during the trial - I fear I may have overstepped my bounds.
no subject
[He stares at her for a minute, actually a little surprised.]
You don't need to apologize at all. I wasn't offended.

...Anaido, there you are.

[He reacts, like its instinct - but his cheerful expression immediately falls to something a little awkward.]
Ah, sorry. [He nods at Flayn, gazing, self-conscious, down at the ground for a moment.] What's up?
no subject
[she doesn't really know what to talk about.]
Ah - were you able to capture that chicken, in the end?

Ah...Flayn.
[He steps forward, his expression creased with obvious concern.]
What are you doing? Shouldn't you be resting?
no subject
If I stay still, I keep— thinking. About what happened.

That was hideous. Anyway, by the time Flayn finds Anaido, her eyes are red from crying and her cheeks are pale. Nice.]
...Anaido...
[THEY MESSED UP.]
no subject
[They messed up badly.]
...At least...at least it was just one person.
[A beat.]
I hate to think that, but if it was multiple people on the line tomorrow...
no subject
[It's. Still pretty bad? It's really bad. It's awful.]
What happened is already bad enough. I... I do not understand how it could have gone so wrong.
